Aspite Auto Auction’s Grand Reopening Event and iBidSmart’s Online Auction Platform

Philadelphia, PA (September 18, 2015) Aspite Auto Auction is home to one of Philadelphia’s oldest and most well-respected auto and heavy equipment auctions. It all started back in 1960, when Jerry Aspite Sr. opened Aspite Auto’s doors as a classic autobody shop in Frankford. Soon establishing itself as a reputable auto shop and family-owned business, Aspite Auto stepped into the auction world in the 1980s. Hosting it’s first auction in Port Richmond with a mere thirty cars on a three acre lot, Aspite Auto found it’s niche in the salvage auto auction industry.

Aspite Auto Auction has grown from a simple neighborhood auto body shop to a well-established auction house, expanding from auctioning only insurance total loss vehicles to auctioning clean title vehicles and equipments for financial institutions, charitable organizations, municipalities, and new car trades. Aspite currently holds online and live auctions every other Thursday where both dealers and the public are welcome. All the while, Aspite has remained true to it’s name as a family business, proudly operating with both honesty and integrity as well as upholding fair and friendly service.

Much like other companies in the auto industry, Aspite faced numerous challenges throughout the decades; pitfalls in the economy, corporate competition and industry shifts to a digitized world. Brothers Jerry Jr. and Antonio Aspite have done their best to keep up with the changing digital times and compete with the big players in the auto auction industry. Utilizing an online auction platform provided by iBidSmart, Aspite offers both live and internet bidding to ensure their customers the highest possible return for their vehicles. Aspite Auto Auction has greatly benefitted from iBidSmart’s technology, providing them with a platform to run their own online auction straight from their website. “Aspite is a great example of how iBidSmart can provide real value to independent auctions,” says iBidSmart’s CEO, Mark Buffa. Buffa congratulates Aspite on their successes and looks forward to a continued partnership for years to come. With the digitalization of their auction inventory, Aspite remains at the forefront of technical innovation in the auto auction world.

Just over fifty years after opening it’s doors, Aspite Auto Auction celebrates their grand reopening with a new lot of ninety-six cars, seven acres and an honorable reputation. Jerry Jr. and Antonio Aspite are proud of how far Aspite Auto Auction has come and stated that they, “Have been very lucky to be able to work with our ‘Old Man’. His knowledge in the auto industry and his work ethic has given us a solid foundation to carry on the ‘Family Business.’” In honor of their grand reopening, Aspite Auto Auction is donating a minivan to the Veterans Multi-Service Center (VMC) Thrift Store located in the Mayfair neighborhood of Philadelphia. VMC Program Manager, Rose McGee, says the donated minivan will be of much use as it will, “Help transport veterans to the VMC Thrift Store where they can receive free food, furniture, clothing and other essential necessities.” The Veterans Multi-Service & Education Center is a comprehensive resource center available to all veterans in need, offering services like employment training and housing assistance.

Proudly partnering with other local businesses in Northeast Philadelphia, Aspite would like to invite you to their grand reopening event. Food and prizes will be provided by Curran’s Irish Inn, Jeane’s Pizza & Grill, Ron Hammer’s Auto Detailing, Action Enterprise, Nowmos Auto Collision and Pro-Tech Industries Auto and Collision Center. Join in the celebration of Aspite’s grand reopening to explore their revamped vehicle lot, learn more about iBidSmart’s online auction platform and socialize with other local businesses on September 24th from 11AM-2PM at Aspite Auto and Salvage Auction on 7000 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19135.
